Article #1: Not enough books on Singapore heroes for kids.
Mum complaining that books about Singapore heros for kids wasn't enough. As even if there is, it's only in adult version. Other than that, she found out that books on foreign heros/heroines was much more than Singapore. So she hoped to have more of this kind of books in the children world.

Comment:
It's important to teach young children nowadays about the heros/heroines in Singapore from the past. As without them, there might not have a nice Singapore today.

Article #2: Banks, credit card firms should tell all.
It actually says that the user of the credit card found out that using card abroad would have hidden fees, and she needs to pay more. However the bank replied that no extra fees would be counted. As disclousre of foreign transaction charges can be found at the back of their credit cards or websites.
So the writer hope that banks could disclose the hidden charges in the credit cards.

Comment:
Banks should have said clearly that what the credit cards would do if it was brought outside of the country. Instead of asking them to check websites and back of the cards, where nobody can be bothered to do, they should just tell them.

Article #3, #4 & #5: DJs picking on Indian accent for cheap laughs on radio.
The 3 aritcles manly revolves around a complain made by Mr Veloo on why DJs are picking on the Indian accent. He's upset that some non Indian English-language radio DJs mimicked an Indian accent to generate laughter.
#3 says that it's common for DJs to use this route to generate laughter but they must be mindful.
#4 assure Mr Veloo that there's never any malice intented when DJs put an accent to do anything.
#5 says that DJs picking on Indian accent for cheap laugh is unnecessary. And it does not mean that now they should pick on Chinese and Malays accent.

Comment:
Singapore was living in a harmony state, so why get upset into this one more thing? Even if you might think it's big, put yourslef in other people's shoe and think if they're really picking on you. So stay calm.
